Designed by Tetro Arquitetura in 2021, Casa Terra is a 278 sqm residence located in Serra do Cipó, about 120 km from the capital Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Since the first land visit, the architects realized they were about to work in a very special location: an environmental protection area, with an extensive native forest. The young couple’s weekend residence is a disconnection and resting place, to unwind through immersion with the preserved nature that guidelined the project’s form. Likewise, the intense contact with the earth, grass, and trees naturally built the name ‘Casa Terra’ (Soil House, in English).
